Shopify App Bridge is the latest SDK for any custom embedded App published on Shopify App Store. Previously EASDK was one of the most popular option used by developers for utilizing the Shopify platform; however, this one is not supported anymore by the Shopify, leading Shopify to require all apps using EASDK to be upgraded to the App Bridge SDK in the near future.

Today Shopify announce The Embedded App SDK (EASDK) and backwards compatibility layer are being removed from Shopify on January 1, 2022.

All embedded apps using EASDK or the backward compatibility layer are requested to move to App Bridge 2.0 as soon as possible in order to provide a more consistent and performant app loading experience for merchants.

Additionally, starting May 1, new embedded public apps submitted for review to the Shopify App Store will be required to be on App Bridge 2.0 with session tokens implemented.

Shopify published a migration guide on Shopify.dev to help developers upgrade their custom Shopify apps.
